What is WETH?

WETH is Wrapped Ether, an ERC-20 compatible version of ETH. 1 WETH will always be equivalent to 1 ETH.

Why does WETH exist?​

ETH on the Ethereum blockchain is not well suited for NFT Marketplaces since it cannot be approved for offers and typical NFT transactions, but WETH can. X2Y2 uses WETH in Offer, Collection Offer and the upcoming auctions, to both reduce the gas cost for traders and to make the whole purchase process simple, streamlined and secure.
